Weavers of Orias

Weavers of Orias

Behind every ORIAS piece is a community of Filipino artisans whose hands bring our designs to life. From rattan weavers in the provinces to leather craftsmen in our Quezon City atelier, each person in our chain of making contributes something irreplaceable.

The Rattan Weavers

Our solihiya panels are woven by artisans who have practised this craft for decades. Many learned from their parents, who learned from theirs. The diagonal weaving pattern requires a steady hand and deep familiarity with the material — knowing how much tension to apply, when to turn, where to anchor. It is slow, deliberate work that cannot be rushed or mechanised.

The Embroiderers of Taal

Our Cardibarong collection features pinpoint hand embroidery by artisans from Taal, Batangas — a town renowned for its embroidery tradition. Each motif is stitched individually, a process that can take days for a single garment. The result is a level of detail that no machine can replicate.

The Leather Workers

In our atelier, skilled craftsmen cut, stitch, and assemble each bag and accessory from premium cowhide leather. They work with Bulgaro and Saffiano leathers, shaping them into the distinctive silhouettes — rollers, squares, hammocks — that define the ORIAS aesthetic.

A Living Tradition

We believe that luxury begins with the hands that make it. By choosing ORIAS, you support not just a brand, but a network of Filipino artisans and the traditions they keep alive.
