What is Solihiya?

Solihiya has long been part of Filipino homes, traditionally seen in handwoven rattan furniture crafted by generations of artisans. Defined by its intricate geometric patterns, it reflects patience, skill, and a deep-rooted heritage.

At ORIAS, founder Vin Orias reimagined solihiya beyond its traditional use. Drawn to its texture and strength, he transformed it into modern luxury accessories—bringing a familiar material into a new context.

The process remains true to its origins. Rattan is carefully sourced, split, and woven by hand, then paired with premium cowhide leather. Each piece carries subtle variations, making no two exactly alike.

More than its form, solihiya represents craftsmanship in its purest sense. In a world of mass production, it stands for intention, tradition, and enduring design—now carried forward through every ORIAS piece.
